Bom Tempo Vol. 1: Baile Funk is the first installment in a series built to showcase the full range of what Aced Spade brings to the table as a producer. Rooted in the spirit of the Bom Tempo parties — Chicago’s home for open-format dance music and discovery — each volume in this series will explore a different genre through original production.

Vol. 1 plants the flag in Baile Funk. Drawing inspiration from the genre’s most forward-thinking voices — Sango, Vhoor — this project channels the raw energy of the favela dancefloor into something new. Massive drums. Heavy bass. Fifteen minutes of music designed to be felt at volume.
